Safe Handling of Refrigerants — Renewal Candidates

This two day course is aimed at candidates who have a valid registration with SAQCC Gas / SARACCA. This registration must be renewed every 3 years.
Course content
- Knowledge of the OHS Act, P.E.R., SANS 10147, Workshop Safety & PPE
- Practical: draining oil from the system
- Practical: simulating charging refrigerant into the system
- Practical: BA Set / Chemical suit exercises
Certification
- Theory and practical components must both be completed to be certified as competent
- Candidate must complete a portfolio of evidence to provide proof of competency
- Certificate of competency issued on successful completion — must accompany your application with SAQCC Gas / SARACCA
- Registration process is only complete once you have submitted your application to SAQCC Gas and received your card
Safe Handling of Refrigerants — New Candidates

This course is aimed at new candidates who have never registered with SAQCC Gas / SARACCA, or whose current registration has expired.
Course content
- Knowledge of the OHS Act, P.E.R. R734, SANS 10147, Workshop Safety & PPE
- Practical: draining oil from the system
- Practical: simulating charging refrigerant into the system
- Practical: BA Set / Chemical suit exercises

- Theory and practical components must both be completed to be certified as competent
- Candidate must complete a portfolio of evidence and a written test to provide proof of competency
